No appreciable drop in the Gunnison river water level has slowed search efforts by the Sheriff’s Dept. today near Bridgeport for more clues on the Botham-Miracle murder case.

As of noon the parties had spent their time searching the mile-and-one-half section, where bodies of the two women and two boys were found recently, of river by boats dragging magnets and men on foot checking out the shallow areas.

The sheriff had hoped that turning off the Morrow Point Dam water flow over the weekend would sharply lower the depth of water in the search area.  However, waters from the Uncompaghre and the North Fork of the Gunnison between the dam and Bridgeport has thwarted the plan.
